Ed Schultz Gets MSNBC Slot

2 April 2009 69 views No Comment

Now it’s official, after weeks of speculation and back and forth negotiations MSNBC has announced that Dial Global/Superadio progressive talker Ed Schultz will join the network to host “The Ed Show” weeknights at 6pm. The official announcement was made by Schultz on Keith Obermann’s “Countdown” Wednesday night. The Ed Show replaces “1600 Pennsylvania Ave” which was hosted by David Schuster and served as a testing ground for Schultz the past few weeks. MSNBC also revealed some other lineup changes with Schuster anchoring a new 3-5pm show with Tameron Hall and Nora O’Donnell moving to a morning slot. *UPDATE* “The Ed Show” debuts tonight (4/6) on MSNBC.
