10 March 2009 306 views No Comment

Air America is moving outside of it’s traditional day part programming to offer affiliates the Newsweek magazine based radio show “Newsweek On The Air” effective March 22.  Senior VP of Programming Bill Hess says it’s a strong choice as the company’s “first venture outside of the traditional Air America package.” Newsweek contributing editor David Alpern continues to host the weekly radio magazine show that has been in production for 27 years . The show currently clears on both commercial stations KLIF  Dallas, KTAR  Phoenix and  KCBS  San Francisco as well as some non-commercial stations including WNYC-AM New York. *UPDATE* Air America just signed Montel Williams for a 3 hour daily show, there is also talk of a deal with Lionel…stay tuned.
