Tom Taylor 2.0 at Inside Radio is reporting on rumors of an XM shutdown of it’s studios on 57th street in Manhattan. If the talk is true this would not only cut a significant expense out of Mel Karmazins’ XM/Sirius operating budget, but it would move O&A into the same building as Mel and Howard Stern. Taylor also poses a question in his post about the renewal of Opie and Anthony’s XM deal which is up this fall. Will the move mean XM will renew the deal, or (and this is our take) something more ominous.
