Jerry Doyle’s 4% Solution

13 February 2009 339 views No Comment

Talk Radio Network’s Jerry Doyle has offered his proposal to help solve the economic crisis in America. “You say to banks, 4% — that’s what you are going to charge for a 30-year fixed mortgage,” said Doyle. “On a $200,000 mortgage the payment would be $954.80 and the banks would make a profit of $143,738.80 on the total loan.” An almost identical plan was proposed by Tennessee Republican Senator Lamar Alexander as an amendment to the Senate’s economic stimulus package, however that proposal was defeated along party lines. Doyle is encouraging listeners to contact their state Senators to express support for the “4% Solution” and urging people to find out more about the plan at www.fixhousingfirst.com
